Can I substitute another course for the capstone course?

Under strict circumstances and with approval, the department may allow a Virginia Ball Center (VBC) experience to meet the capstone requirement. For students to be eligible for a course substitution for the capstone, they would need to meet all of the prerequisites (Soc 380 and Soc 382) and corequisites (Soc 402) for the capstone course. Furthermore, the substitution would need to have a strong sociological component and be similar in scope and activity to the capstone course.
