Do sociology majors get preference for sociology courses?

For most students, registration is based on seniority, not major. At the end of the course request period, students will be placed into their requested classes according to their class standing. Seniors are considered first, then juniors, etc. If you have requested a particular section of a course and it is full, you will automatically be placed in another available section. If you cannot get into a course because you think it is full, you can contact the instructor and ask for permission. The instructor will verify if the course is indeed full.
