How do I arrange for an internship in sociology?
Students may arrange for a paid (Soc 369) or unpaid (Soc 488) internship. Supervision is provided by both sociology faculty and employers. Students should contact the Undergraduate Director at 765-285-5977 to discuss internship options. The student should also discuss the possibility with the agency in which the student would like to work. For possible agencies, students may want to visit the student voluntary services site http://www.bsu.edu/svs/ or the career center site http://www.bsu.edu/careers/. They generally have information on organizations that are seeking interns. A total of 6 credit hours may be earned for internships.
